Comcast Combines Venture Capital Groups:
Comcast Corp. announced that it is collaborating with NBC Universal and General Eletric, its venture capital arm Comcast Interactive Capital with the Peacock Equity Fund – formerly a venture capital affiliate of NBC Universal and General Electric – forming a new fund called Comcast Ventures.
A new fund called Comcast Ventures is formed by the collaboration of Comcast Inc.'s venture capital Interactive Capital with the Peacock Equity Fund – formerly a venture capital affiliate of NBC Universal and General Electric. Comcast had a major stake in NBC Universal since January. It has been managing the two funds' joint investment portfolio which valued $750 million. Amy Banse, Comcast Executive, said that it is an exciting time to be in venture capital.
