Expansion of Michigan Venture Capital

In 1981, the professor of University of Michigan David Brophy had launched an event that gave opportunities to big companies to pitch their businesses to venture capital firms. This attracted 10 companies across the state that had just two venture capital firms.

Today, after three decades, the event has become one of the top venture capital experiences. The state now has 19 venture capital firms.

Brophy, who started the first venture capital course in the country, is now working on research projects relating private equity, manufacture and innovation in the auto industry.

But still, we need more venture capital funds. The venture capital is molding itself into new shapes and sizes. The entrepreneurs who are looking for investors for venture capital should not give up as this is the expanding market.
