Entrepreneurship is becoming an immensely significant subject this year. President Obama has included entrepreneurship in his USD 3.73 trillion budget and will be travelling this week to the West Coast to meet business leaders. He will be discussing with them, shared goals of promoting America's innovations and their commitment to new investments in research and development, education and clean energy.
Similarly the new IEEE-USA President Ron Jensen has recognized advancing U.S. innovation, entrepreneurship and competitiveness as his priorities for 2011. Jensen is gaining encouragement to promote high-tech entrepreneurship, following the announcement of Startup America. This will help increase the number of new businesses with high-growth rates and high job-creating potential. IEEE-USA, supporting and promoting high-tech entrepreneurship through TechMatch and IEEE Alliance of Consultants Networks and Entrepreneurs Village programs, has attained further impetus from the announcement.
